As holidaymakers ourselves, we understand how difficult it can be to choose a holiday rental. Here are some comments from our past guests, as we always follow up to see if we can improve your holiday in any way. These comments can be verified if required and hopefully your review will be added to the list on your return.

“Barbara and I thought your apartment was superb. The interior layout was much larger than expected; the furniture and fittings are of the top quality and there is nothing a guest could want that isn't already there ready for use. The freshness of the decor and the highest standard of cleanliness is a tribute to yourselves and to Careways, your managing agents. The location at Boavista and the apartment's actual situation is, as you described, probably the best on the resort. In short, your web site description does "exactly what it says on the tin". “The apartment was even better than it looked on the photos. We were impressed with the size of the apartment and the facilities (washer/dryer comes in so handy when you have young children!). The location was great; so convenient for Lagos, the motorway and the gorgeous beaches the other side of Luz.
The resort was beautiful. We definitely think you have the resort’s best view from the front of your apartment! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was fantastic too (can’t believe that on the couple of sunny days we had we were the only ones using it!). All in all, a big hit with all of us. “We loved the cleanliness and space as well as the very well equipped rooms throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit and look out from both balconies first thing in the morning and then later in the afternoon/early evening before venturing out in Lagos or the neighbouring villages. The location for Lagos was perfect from our point of view and extremely convenient for the Intermarche supermarket.

“Our holiday was terrific and the apartment was top class. Everything we could ask for and more and the free Wi-Fi Internet access was a real bonus (especially as phones today can use this facility to use Internet). Only downside for us (not related to apartment) was lack of shopping facility on the resort (i.e. a small convenience store would have been helpful). However, we all enjoyed ourselves and would certainly come back in future. The special rates at the Boavista Golf were also helpful” Mr Hailey

“Thoroughly enjoyed our very peaceful stay. The apartment was lovely, very well fitted out, furnished and very clean. Even though I have known the area for many years, in view of more recent events, security had been a bit of a concern for me with a 1 year old daughter, but we felt extremely safe and secure and my daughter had a great time. It was great to have the indoor pool. We were quite lucky with the weather but it was definitely not outdoor pool time of year. We visited the health club every day and our daughter even had some lessons” Pat Graham

“Thanks for the loan of your first green apartment. We absolutely loved staying in it and couldn't fault it - it had everything you could possibly need away from home. The facilities on site were excellent and my family enjoyed playing the challenging golf course whilst I as a non player walked round with them soaking in the lovely views. They also enjoyed the Palmares and Salgados courses. In addition the staff on site were so helpful and friendly making this all in all a holiday to remember. We hope to return one day. “The apartment was even better than we expected. Weather was great, food was good. Golf course was excellent, but my play was a bit average. The highlight was my birdie on the 14th and my playing partner’s near eagle on the 16th. “The apartment has great golf views both front & back. It was clean & very well equipped and the satellite TV was a bonus. We played Boavista 4 times so the reduced green fees was great. The 17th beat us every time but what makes it worse is that it’s in full view from the balcony!. We will certainly be back, next time for longer” Kevin & Linda Corrigan

Lakeview Apartment

“Your apartment is exceptional in so many ways. Everything was prepared meticulously for our arrival. The location was just great - we enjoyed the hours of sunshine on the balcony together with the open aspect on the golf course which itself provided 'entertainment'. We took a seven-day membership at the indoor pool and enjoyed a number of delicious meals at the clubhouse. They changed their menu while we were there and the new one proved very enticing. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and efficient.  They allowed us to stay an extra 2 hours on the final morning as we had a late flight. We really appreciated that. Having the Irish television and radio stations proved useful in keeping up to date with how cold the weather was back home! We have been recommending your apartment to many of our friends. “Many thanks for a great holiday! Your Lakeview apartment was perfect - even better than the website showed. It was huge, immaculate and a real home from home for facilities. The decoration and quality of the apartment was way beyond what I would expect for a holiday let! The service you provided before, during and after our stay couldn't be faulted. The Boavista Golf resort is superb. I don't play (my husband managed to fit in 2 rounds though) and even I found the golf views beautiful. Due to the lovely new indoor health club it would be a great place to stay all year round. It's in a nice central location with plenty of beautiful beaches and restaurants only a short drive away. Definitely the best place we have stayed. As soon as we can arrange flights we will be booking again for next year!” Mrs Stupart

“We had a fabulous holiday in your apartment. We have been going to Portugal in November for the last 6 years, staying in different apartments in the Quinta and Vale de lobo area. We can all honestly say that your apartment has been by far the best we have ever stayed in. It is extremely well furnished and there is every facility that you could wish for (even sky sports which the men were very happy about!). The views of the golf course from your balcony are wonderful and it was lovely having breakfast out there each morning. We were extremely lucky with the weather - not a cloud in the sky for the whole week and the temperature around 20-22 degrees! Many thanks for letting us have the opportunity to stay in your lovely apartment. Would recommend it to anyone!”

The Lakeview apartment has great views and near the pool. During the first week we were there, the new clubhouse opened. Very smart!! When we left the indoor swimming pool and health suite were still unopened, but from what we could see, they also looked impressive. We will certainly go back to the Lakeview apartment at some point in the future and would have no hesitation recommending either of the apartments to our friends” Fiona

As a result of the holiday I have just got a set of golf clubs and I am determined that WHEN we return to the apartment I won't just be watching the golf, but joining my husband on the course. “The views from the apartment were gorgeous and it was so relaxing to sit on the balcony with a glass of the local vinho verde. The apartment was even better than portrayed on your internet site (which is saying something), as the web site is excellent with all the photos you could wish for, and so informative! We had a most enjoyable week, it was a shame about the mixed weather. I wish I had the electric shutters at home, they were brilliant! Boavista resort itself is immaculately maintained. You have thought of everything even down to the binoculars, which I used to spot where my husband's ball went on the 14th and 15th holes!!
We did have mixed weather all week, but there is plenty to do in the area, and next time I will be sure to try the Heath club and spa at the clubhouse! They have done a really good job there, we used to meet the boys for lunch when they'd finished playing golf” Sally and Dennis Wardle

“We had a lovely holiday, apart from a few wet days. Your apartment is absolutely lovely, very comfortable, had everything we needed and has stunning views over the golf course. We spent many an hour watching the golfers attempt the 14th & 15th with many balls in the water (including mine when we played). The New Years Eve fireworks down in Lagos were spectacular, we parked right in front of where they were lit and it was brilliant, it was done to music and lasted about 25 mins. There were loads of people around with bottle corks flying all over the place, the atmosphere was fantastic” Pauline & Tom

We take great pride in the feedback we receive from guests who experience the pleasures that make Boavista and Lagos so special.

However, we have received negative feedback in the past as follows:
"As much as I love my husband I love my space in bed even more and found the double bed very small and the mattress very soft"

Mattresses are a matter of personal preference, but after realising that some guests found the mattress uncomfortable, we decided that the bed (which was only a few months old) needed replacing. We replaced it with a new king-size bed/imported from the UK and are happy to say that the new bed provides a blissful night’s sleep.
